Station 63 was dispatched at 18:19 for a reported chimney fire on State Route 837. Squirt 63 responded with a full crew and found the alarm as dispatched upon arrival. Truck 63 arrived on scene with mutual aid companies and began salvage operations before the Squirt crew cleared the chimney with the chimney sweep. Engine 46 stood by at the hydrant as crews from 66, 62, and Fayette 42 provided additional support. While crews operated the chimney fire, Station 63 was dispatched into the City of Monessen for an automatic fire alarm. Truck and Squad 66 were released and responded in place of Truck 63 along with Station 33 (Charleroi).
